Klaros Welcomes Three New Senior Advisors

We’re excited to announce the addition of three new senior advisors to the Klaros team!


Mary Dent

With more than 30 years leading global companies in the financial services and technology sectors, Mary Dent is an experienced executive and corporate board member who will be advising Klaros on issues related to enterprise risk management, legal, compliance, R&D, tax, and internal audits. In addition to her advising role at Klaros, Mary currently serves on four corporate boards: Vestwell Holdings, Banking Circle US, SeedFi, and Woodruff Sawyer. Mary served as CEO of Green Dot Bank from 2016-2019 and before that served as General Counsel for Silicon Valley Bank/SVB Financial Group, Insikt, and New Skies Satellites.


In addition to her private sector work, Mary served as Counsel on the Senate Judiciary and Labor Committees. Mary earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School and her B.A. in Economics from U.C.L.A.


Robert Hartheimer

Robert (Bob) Hartheimer joins Klaros from Jasper, a credit card originator for customers with little or no credit history, where he served as Chief Compliance Officer and Co-Founder. In addition to his advising role at Klaros, Bob currently serves as the independent director, audit and risk committee chair of CardWorks and the director and audit chair of Repay (NASDAQ:RPAY). Bob’s other past positions include bank and fintech regulatory consultant roles at Promontory Financial Group and senior roles at Merrill Lynch, Smith Barney and Friedman Billings Ramsey.


In addition to his private sector work, Bob was recruited to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in 1991, where he and a small team created the Division of Resolutions to analyze and sell failed banks. He went on to serve as the Director of that division and sold 200 banks over his four-year tenure. At Klaros, Bob will be focused on issues related to fintech regulations, compliance, and bank partners. Bob received his A.B. in Geology from Hamilton College and his M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.


Ken Miller

Ken Miller is a serial entrepreneur, executive, and investor, having previously launched or scaled many startup and mature businesses. Ken also serves as a Board Director for ZineOne. Previously Ken served as Global Investments Advisor to Flourish Ventures where he worked with entrepreneurs to solve deep operational and technology challenges, with a particular focus around data science and product issues.

Prior to Flourish, Ken was a technology partner at Omidyar Network. Before that, he served as COO at Gem, a blockchain infrastructure company based in the US. Earlier, he was vice president of product and pricing for Intuit, where he helped build and grow all of the company’s payment products. Early in his career, Ken was vice president of risk management at PayPal and also served as an early advisor to Square. Ken also owns and operates a small, boutique winery, and occasionally writes data-focused articles that look at the intersection of data science and current events.
