Juan Pablo (JP) Perez-Sangimino focuses on bank licensing and business planning.

JP joins us from the Federal Reserve Board, where he served as a Senior Policy Analyst on the Innovation Policy team, focusing on banking, financial stability, and emerging financial technologies. Throughout his career, JP has contributed to research and policy discussions on how innovation in payments and financial infrastructure intersects with regulation and systemic risk. He has also participated in conferences and research forums on tokenization and digital finance.

Earlier in his career, through a project affiliated with Stanford Law School, he co-authored “An Introduction to the Law of Afghanistan,” reflecting a broader interest in comparative law and international legal systems.

He holds a BA from Boston College, cum laude, and a JD from Stanford Law School.
