Donna Murphy

|Senior Advisor

Donna Murphy has extensive experience as a regulatory policy maker in financial services, specializing in fair access and financial crime issues, and a stellar track record of fostering responsible innovation. She works with Klaros clients on Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) plans, BSA/AML issues, and bank-fintech partnerships. She was most recently Deputy Comptroller for Compliance Risk Policy at the OCC, where she oversaw the development of policy, guidance, and examination procedures for AML/CFT, sanctions, consumer protection, fair lending, and the Community Reinvestment Act. She also served for a decade on the OCC’s National Risk Committee. Donna also served as Acting Deputy Comptroller for the Office of Financial Technology, where she oversaw the analysis and evaluation of financial technology innovations, trends, emerging risks, and potential implications for OCC supervision and OCC-supervised banks. Previously, Donna was Director of the OCC’s Community and Consumer Law Division and  a Deputy Chief in the Civil Rights Division of the United States Justice Department. She holds a BA from the American University and a JD from Yale Law School.
