Paul Marker focuses on regulatory risk management, consumer compliance, and examination readiness. 

 

Paul is a seasoned financial services risk professional with experience in regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, and mortgage operations. Paul advises financial institutions on a broad range of compliance and risk management topics, including preparation for and response to regulatory examination, regulatory compliance program enhancement and transformation, development and implementation of risk assessment programs, and large-scale, complex file reviews. Paul joined Klaros from Wells Fargo where he was a Vice President of Enterprise Functions Compliance. In that capacity, he implemented and managed the regulatory compliance program for Wells Fargo Public Affairs, which included Social Impact & Sustainability, Community Reinvestment Act, Government Relations & Public Policy, Corporate Communications, and Brand Marketing. As an Engagement Director at Treliant in New York and Charlotte, Paul advised clients on a range of risk and compliance topics including consumer protection, mortgage servicing, internal control evaluations, risk assessments, and loan portfolio analysis. Paul also advised clients on significant regulatory changes and led several related implementation engagements. Before joining Treliant, Paul was an Associate in UBS’s CMBS group and held various other positions in commercial real estate at banks and consulting firms.

 

​Paul received his BA cum laude from the University of Mississippi and is a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM).
